What is the MayDay Movement about?

The MayDay Movement is a grassroots community that welcomes people from all backgrounds to build a better Canada. We commit to making our vision of a prosperous Canada a reality through an ambitious policy agenda and helping young Canadians with financial support to attend the Biennial National Convention.

How can I support the MayDay Movement?

You can support the MayDay Movement by donating to our cause. Your donation will help us organize events, policy discussions, recruitment activities, and inspire and motivate Canadians to build a better Canada.

I am between 18-35 and want to attend the Biennial National Convention. How do I get there?

Sign up and apply to join us at the convention here! We will aim to get as many young people to the convention as possible, but the sooner you sign up, the easier it will be for us to support you.

What are we striving for?

We are fighting for a Canadian future of peace and prosperity. We will financially help as many young Canadians to attend the Biennial National Convention and propose policies to be adopted by the Liberal Party.

What are we challenging?

We challenge apathy and lack of grassroots engagement in politics. We plan to combat this challenge by removing financial barriers for young Canadians to get involved in the heart of Canadian politics by attending the convention.

What do we bring to the table?

We bring our vision to reinvigorate the Liberal Party and its provincial/territorial affiliates. Alongside our vision, Mayday brings a policy agenda that is created through grassroots in-person and online engagement that aspires to tackle key Canadian issues.

Who are our allies?

Our allies are Canadians and aspiring Canadians everywhere, regardless of race, religion, country of origin, class, language, sexual orientation or disability.

Our allies are also labour unions, ethnocultural groups, university, college and high-school student groups, industry and trade associations, local boards of trade etc.

Who are our enemies?

Our enemies are our own apathy and disengagement, coupled with the short-sighted arrogance, entitlement and self-interest of our governing elites.

What are our weapons?

Our second weapon is a 21st century policy agenda built, driven and supported by grassroots in-person and online engagement that ignores yesterday’s struggle between right and left by focusing on meeting the challenges and the opportunities of tomorrow.

We are committed to peacefully and aggressively building a brighter future for all, rather than acceding to the protest of present grievances on behalf of the frustrated few.

Where is our training ground?

Our training ground will be a series of online and in-person organizational and policy meetings open to any Canadian or aspiring Canada who is committed to:
